Many employers do not care for name badges because they just want to get the job done. They could care less about who you are. The employers who do not use name badges fail to realize that it can help the company out, if people knew who they were working with.
When you wear a name badge with pride , you are letting other people around you know that you care about the job that you do. Most name badges have your name and job title. If another employee needs help with something, they can just look at your name and badge and ask for help.
By having name badges it can team build by allowing people to get to know one another. They will feel more comfortable working with the other person because they will know their name and job title. The person do not have to be afraid to go up to the person to ask for help because they may feel they may be speaking to the wrong person. The person will be able to see who they are by their name badge.
A name badge can show what level you are on. For instance, if you have made it to a certain level, it will show it on your name badge. If an employer tells you to go see a certain level three employee, then you will be able to find him or her if they have a name badge. On the other hand, if there is no name badge, you will be running around the building for hours asking several people who may make jokes because you do not know where to go. This can make you feel awkward and want to go home.
